Accuracy in Media

WASHINGTON — As an American rots in a Cuban jail, Cuba and the U.S. are looking to resume direct mail services between the countries after a 50-year ban.

alan grossReuters reports this progress but failed to talk about the inabilities of the Obama administration to free imprisoned American Alan Gross, who has been in Cuba for at least two years.

Gross has been in deteriorating health since his imprisonment, as we at AIM have reported, and the Obama administration has done nothing to ease his plight. This could be used as leverage, but Cuba asked for 5 Cuban spies in exchange and the U.S. balked at that offer.

Gross has been imprisoned because of his installation of internet services for Cuban Jews, which Cuba looks down on.
