WASHINGTON — Apple continues to get a beating from its rival and competitor Samsung in the big smartphone market in China.
Reuters reports that Apple’s CEO Tim Cook says that “over the arc of time” Apple will do well in China. But, Samsung has the edge for now in the most populous country in the world.
Apple’s Chinese revenue dipped since last year 14%, and 43% from last quarter. Some of the problems plaguing Apple is how no one outside of Apple is sure about their strategy to counter Samsung in China
Samsung has a 19% market share in the $80 billion smartphone market in China, while Apple has fallen to 5th overall in China.
