WASHINGTON — The new attorney general will not be named before this year’s midterm elections, after Obama’s last one Eric Holder announced his resignation in September.
Reuters reported that the White House will announce a successor after the contentious midterm elections. This gives time for Obama to announce a nominee.
Possible nominees are his labor secretary Tom Perez, former White House counsel Kathy Ruemmler and U.S. Solicitor General Don Verrilli.
