Reuters reported that Obama is sending an additional 350 soldiers to protect the American embassy in Baghdad after the terrorist group continues to battle Kurdish militia in the north and Iraqi forces in other parts of the fractured country.

This move bolsters the security forces in the embassy to around 820 troops.

Obama is currently consulting with NATO leaders in the Baltic country of Estonia regarding the Russian invasion in Ukraine, but will discuss other actions in Iraq with his advisers.
