WASHINGTON — U.S. President Barack Obama has fired salvos back at critics after Russian President Vladimir Putin has apparently schooled Obama in foreign relations.
Obama said that Putin was “like a bored kid in the back of the classroom.” He had canceled a summit between him and Putin over the Snowden disagreement and some say that Putin is showing Obama the ropes of foreign policy.
Reuters reports that Obama denied that U.S.-Russia relations are at an all-time low and have been hurt by Russia’s insistence on keeping National Security Agency (NSA) leaker Edward Snowden in their country.
Snowden leaked information of a widespread NSA surveillance program and upset both Americans and their allies over the data collection of civilians.
Russia denies that relations are deteriorating between them and the U.S.
