WASHINGTON — President Barack Obama, possibly upset at Hillary Clinton’s criticisms of his presidency, said that Americans would prefer a “new car smell” in the 2016 presidential race. Rumors are circling that Hillary Clinton will run in 2016, but has yet to make an official announcement.

The Associated Press reported Obama’s remarks came while he made his most recent trip to Las Vegas, Nevada.

However, Obama backtracked and said Hillary would be “a great president.” Yet, he pointed out voters would want “to drive something off the lot that doesn’t have as much mileage as me.” As a “formidable candidate,” Obama said Hillary could be quite a foe in 2016. But, the field is wide open for both the Democrats and Republicans for the 2016 presidential race at this point.
