WASHINGTON — Soon after the U.S. sent troops as trainers to Iraq to help both national Iraqi army forces and the Kurdish peshmerga militia, several unnamed allies will send 1,500 additional training personnel to help beat back the Islamic State (known as ISIS, IS or ISIL).
Reuters reported that the allies will remain unnamed at this point in time, but it was confirmed by the U.S. this past week.
There are no indications that Obama will send more American troops to Iraq to help beat back the Islamic terrorist group at this point in time.
