WASHINGTON — Gamers and the gaming industry have finally learned about one of the biggest announcements of the latter half of the 2013 year: the launch of Xbox One.
Reuters reported that the pre-order sales have sold out for the next generation gaming console for Microsoft, which is due for launch on November 22nd, the anniversary of the 2005 launch of Xbox 360.
Although its competitor Sony has a lower-priced PS4 hitting the market a week earlier than Xbox One, Microsoft has seen a boon in publicity surrounding its next gaming console. Sony reported that their $399 PS4 had more than 1 million pre-orders worldwide.
A Microsoft executive said that the company has “more pre-orders than any other Xbox console releases in history”.
