WASHINGTON — Liz Cheney, who is the daughter of ex-vice president Dick Cheney, announced her run for the U.S. Senate for 2014.
Reuters reports that she will run in a GOP primary against incumbent Mike Enzi, who has served in the Senate since 1996. Enzi had won at least two elections by comfortable margins.
She launched a six-minute video outlining her vision for the state of Wyoming and the U.S. and laid out a conservative agenda and ripped President Barack Obama.
She is an attorney by profession and had served in the State Department during the George W. Bush administration, in addition to her appearances as a Fox News analyst and political commentator.
