This comes at a crucial time where Latvia is going to enter the European Union’s eurozone this coming January. Latvia gained entry as a EU member because of its recovery from the worldwide financial crisis in 2008 due to budget cuts and fiscal management.

The circumstances about the supermarket collapse is still under investigation by the police, who opened a criminal investigation into the construction of the building.
