WASHINGTON — Italy’s economy was stagnant again, and France continued to tumble economically as investors and analysts worried about its impact on the eurozone as a whole.

francois hollande franceReuters reported that the Italian economy has contracted for two straight years, but did not contract this past quarter. Some hope that a recent rise in industrial output could lead to economic growth in the country.

France saw its industrial output fall for a second straight month, even when manufacturing production rose.
