WASHINGTON — Ariel Castro, the infamous kidnapper of young girls in the Cleveland, Ohio area, has been sentenced to life in prison.
CNN reports  that his victims appeared in court and testified against him. Castro could only say that he is “not a monster — I’m sick”. He kept girls for a decade.
He went to vigils for the kidnapped girls and forced them to watch it.
Victim Michelle Knight went up in the courtroom and slammed Castro, saying, “”You took 11 years of my life away…I spent 11 years in hell. Now, your hell is just beginning.”
The victims released a video  that went public, thanking strangers for their support and encouragement throughout the entire process.
