WASHINGTON — BlackBerry’s struggles are widely known, and now their CEO Thorstein Heins is willing to come up with new ideas to help bolster the struggling smartphone maker.
Reuters reports that BlackBerry CEO Heins said they “will pursue every opportunity to create value for shareholders” and are open to any options.
BlackBerry took its famous phones, the BlackBerry, off the market for retooling and a complete revamp of their phones. BlackBerry reported that the sales of its new BlackBerry 10 smartphone line did not meet analysts’ expectations and did not give hope or optimism that BlackBerry can take back its share in the smartphone market.
Samsung and Apple are also struggling with a highly saturated and smartphone-dominated market and are trying to find ways to eke out more earnings.
BlackBerry had even changed its name from Research in Motion (RIM) to BlackBerry as a part of a re-branding effort.
