WASHINGTON — Apple, the maker of the iPad and iPhone, is now in talks with cable company Comcast to create a television streaming service.
Reuters reported that this could compete with the likes of Amazon and Netflix, which have streaming capabilities for movies and television shows.
This potential deal could give Apple boxes to avoid using internet traffic and potential streaming freezes that Netflix has experienced in the past. By reaching an agreement with Comcast, Apple could have high priority on Comcast’s cable networks and could get faster access for users.
Netflix had previously reached an agreement with Comcast to provide faster service and connection for their users.
There is a lot of room for negotiation between Comcast and Apple, but it is an interesting potential partnership.
