Accuracy in Media

On Tuesday night’s Hardball program, The Washington Post’s Jonathan Capehart admitted that he wasn’t a card carrying member of the Republican Party, but that he deeply cared about one of the two major political parties in this country.

Chris Matthews didn’t flinch at Capehart’s admission of his allegiance to the Democratic Party since most of his guests come from the left side of the political spectrum. But it might have sent a few shivers through the spines of his editors at the Post who have maintained for years that the paper isn’t liberally biased.

Now if we can just get the other reporters and writers at the Post to follow Capehart’s lead, there might be the same type of transparency in the mainstream media as Obama has said there should be in government.
