The Washington Post celebrated Thanksgiving by publishing an article critical of planned celebrations amid a global pandemic.

“As Americans prepare to gather for Thanksgiving, the world watches with dread and disbelief,” the Post tweeted.

Conservative commentator noted the Post’s hypocrisy as the paper said nary a negative word about crowds that celebrated in the streets after Joe Biden was declared the winner of the presidency.

The article was filled with comments from various people overseas horrified that Americans would dare to gather together even in small groups.

“America is bracing for danger this week,” Jennifer Beam Dowd, deputy director of the University of Oxford’s Leverhulme Centre for Demographic Science, wrote on Twitter Saturday. “Here we have time to encourage safe Christmas alternatives rather than family Russian roulette.”

AAA estimates that 50 million people will travel during Thanksgiving to celebrate with their families, a drop of about ten percent from last year. Even the gatherings that were planned were going to be smaller as mandated by local government restrictions and unlikely to serve as potential superspreader events like the Biden-Harris celebrations.

The Post is continuing a pattern that the liberal media has set of applying different sets of standards on coronavirus reporting in 2020 often heavily criticizing conservative-backed events while giving a pass to their liberal allies.
