Reporters from the Washington Post and CNN came under heavy criticism on social media after Washington Post Congress reporter and CNN political analyst Rachel Bade tweeted a photo of her with colleagues Paul Kane, Mike DeBonis, Seung Min Kim and Karoun Demirjian, who also are also CNN analysts with the caption “Merry Impeachmas from the WaPo team!”
Bade removed the post about an hour later after being criticized for the post which she said was misinterpreted.
I’m deleting a tweeting tonight that is being misinterpreted by some as an endorsement of some kind. To be absolutely clear, we at the Post are merely glad we are getting a break for the holidays after a long 3 months. I will retweet the group photo w/ a better caption !

The criticism from Fox LA investigative reporter Bill Melugin was representative of the negative reactions to Bade’s tweet.
What the hell were you thinking when you tweeted this? Some of us still care about ethics and unbiased reporting, and this garbage makes it harder for all of us by reinforcing a stereotype. Come on guys.

Bade has yet to retweet the photo with what she said would be a better caption — one that presumably would hide her liberal bias and true feelings about the impeachment of President Trump.
