Accuracy in Media

Well I finally went and did it. I managed to get under Keith Olbermann’s thin skin with a rather innocuous tweet yesterday.

All I did was question whether or not Olbermann, who has been banished to cable news purgatory at Current TV, is still relevant after he made the list of the most biased news commentators as compiled by the Media Research Center, a conservative media watchdog.

The next thing I know, I received the following tweet from Keith Olbermann’s twitter account.

I answered back with a tweet that pointed out that the list was compiled by the Media Research Center and not Accuracy in Media, who I work for.

That elicited two more back to back tweets from Olbermann:

Sounds just like Media Matters. And we know how accurate they are.

He still didn’t answer my question though. ¬†With an average of 200,000 viewers at Current, Olbermann has in essence lost about 80% of his audience and if that doesn’t make him irrelevant I don’t know what will.
