In a no holds barred video released on Friday, NRA spokeswoman Dana Loesch fired what she said was the “shot across your proverbial bow” at the New York Times for what she called its decades long mediocrity and aversion to telling the truth.
“We’ve had it with your narratives, your propaganda, your fake news. We’ve had it with your constant protection of your Democrat overlords, your refusal to acknowledge any truth that upsets the fragile construct that you believe is real life. And we’ve had it with your pretentious, tone-deaf assertion that you are in any way truth- or fact-based journalism.”
Loesch called the Times, also known as the Gray Lady, the “old gray hag” and an “untrustworthy, dishonest rag” and warned the paper that “we’re coming for you.”
The liberal media went crazy over the video, accusing Loesch and the NRA of threatening bodily harm to New York Times employees, as they once again try to portray law-abiding gun owners as violent right-wing fanatics.
What Loesch was talking about is engaging the Times on the battlefield of ideas, and taking the paper head-on for its consistent liberal bias and anti- Second Amendment stance, and was just issuing a figurative call-to-arms to level the playing field and fight fake news.
If the liberal media or the left thinks that a barrage of nasty tweets and accusations will get Loesch to back down, they have picked the wrong target, as she is one of the smartest and toughest women in the conservative movement who never backs down from a fight—especially when she’s right.
