New Fox Lineup Crushes MSNBC, CNN

The recently revamped Fox News lineup had its best showing to date on Tuesday, averaging nearly twice as many viewers as MSNBC and CNN combined.

According to the preliminary Nielsen estimates, Fox averaged a little over 2.53 million viewers, compared to MSNBC’s 941,000 and CNN’s paltry 397,000.

Fox also beat the combined total of its two closest rivals in the key 25-54 demo, with an average of 454,000, which was well ahead of MSNBC (214,000) and CNN (134,000).

From 8 to 11 p.m., Fox beat MSNBC, CNN and HLN combined in the demo by a margin of 479,000 to 423,000.

Fox took a bit of a gamble when it reshuffled its already successful primetime lineup to accommodate star daytime anchor Megyn Kelly’s desire for a more prominent time slot. But so far it looks like it has paid off, as the network has barely skipped a beat and continues to leave MSNBC and CNN in the dust.
