Media gives White House press sec a pass on homophobic tweet

The liberal media has given a collective shrug to an old tweet by new White House Press Secretary Jen Psaki that was called homophobic by conservatives.

In August, Psaki tweeted, “Only in 2020 does #LadyG get to push a bunch of debunked conspiracy theories while questioning @SallyQYates (aka an American hero),” ahead of former acting attorney general Sally Yates’ testimony before the Senate Judiciary Committee chaired by Sen. Lindsey Graham (R-SC).

The tweet appears to be a reference to a 2020 Washington Post article that contained allegations gay porn star Sean Harding made against LadyG, which is short for Lady Graham.

Harding purported Lady Graham is what male sex workers call Sen. Lindsey Graham (R-S.C.), who has long been the target of gay rumors.

While the conservative media criticized Psaki, a Google search showed no mainstream media coverage, save for the Washington Post, which had reported on Harding’s accusations of this controversy despite the fact that they are usually first in line to demand conservatives be held responsible for what they deem offensive tweets — no matter how long ago and regardless of context surrounding the tweet.

Psaki doesn’t appear to be concerned about the tweet, as it is still available in her Twitter feed.
