For some reason the Bush campaign thought that turning presidential daughters Jenna and Barbara Bush into a comedy act was a good idea. In reality the very comely girls acted like, well 22 year olds trying out at the local Comedy Cafe.
This wasn’t all the girls fault. They are young and inexperienced and have been asked to be in the national spotlight reading material they didn’t write. As my kids would say the performance was lame-o. With lines like “Who is the man Dick Cheney” and “They do know the difference between mono and Bono“. What’s more surprising about this performance is that the genius behind this was none other than Karen Hughes. I have a lot of respect and admiration for Hughes, but she should stick to political messages.
While they may not be as media savvy as Alexandra and Vanessa Kerry they also don’t wear see through dresses and avoid stories of hamsters receiving mouth to mouth resuscitation.
