Islamic State Planning to Launch Online TV Channel

20141009_isis_flag300x180 [1]The Islamic State (ISIS) is readying plans to launch a 24/7 television channel to preach its jihadist message to the world.

According to Variety [2], ISIS posted two Arabic-language teasers for the channel that will be called the Islamic Caliphate Broadcast.

The Israeli daily Haaretz reported that one of the programs will offer guidance and support on how to recruit Muslim sympathizers to ISIS, as well as a video series by British captive John Cantile, and a daily news program.

Starting a TV channel shows that ISIS is aggressively seeking more ways of spreading its message and fomenting even more violence in order to achieve its goal of a worldwide Islamic State. Up until now they have used their own English language magazine, Daqib, social media platforms Twitter and YouTube, and Iraqi radio bandwidth to spread their message.

The station will reportedly be broadcast online at khalifalive.info [3], but  according to Variety, that site went dark over the weekend and it’s unknown at the current time whether it will return, or if the station will appear on a different site.
