In what should be a positive sign for conservative filmmakers, the crowdfunded Gosnell movie reached its funding goal on Friday with three days to spare.

As of this writing, the movie has raised a whopping $2,132,777 from 24,152 donors, making it the most successful project ever funded on Indiegogo. It is also the most successful non-celebrity crowdfunded film on any crowdfunding platform.

The project picked up a lot of steam in the last few weeks, with more than $900,000 donated in the last 17 days from 10,000 donors.

Kermit Gosnell was a Philadelphia abortion doctor who is currently serving several life sentences for murdering babies—born after botched abortions—by cutting their necks and severing their spinal cords. ABC News correspondent Terry Moran described Gosnell as “America’s most successful serial killer.”

Gosnell is being produced by Phelim McAleer, Ann McElhinney, and Magdalena Segieda.
