Accuracy in Media

Fox Business announced Friday that it had parted company with anchor Trish Reagan, who, in an opening monologue earlier this month, said the Democrats’ complaints about Trump’s coronavirus response “is yet another attempt to impeach the president.”

Reagan made her remarks with a screen graphic “Coronavirus Impeachment Scam” behind her for added emphasis and brought criticism from several colleagues at Fox Business and Fox News as well as the mainstream media.

Fox Business placed Reagan’s program on indefinite hiatus within days and has now made it official that they had parted company with her. Reagan, 47, issued a statement saying that she was looking forward to “this next chapter” of her career.

“I have enjoyed my time at Fox and now intend to focus on my family during these troubled times,” she wrote.

Reagan has been with Fox Business since 2015 after stints as a business correspondent at CBS News, CNBC and Bloomberg TV. Her last show aired March 13, during which she told viewers that “I will see you all soon.”
