Former NPR News Vice President Moves to Center for Public Integrity

Former NPR senior vice president for news Ellen Weiss, who resigned in the wake of the Juan Williams scandal, has resurfaced as the executive editor at the Center for Public Integrity [1], which bills itself as a nonprofit investigative news organization.

Weiss, who had been with NPR since 1982, was criticized along with former NPR CEO Vivian Schiller for the way they handled the Williams scandal, which eventually led to both of their departures.

In her new role Weiss will oversee the Center’s domestic investigations and editorial staff, and should feel right at home at the left-leaning organization.
