CNN’s Reliable Sources host Brian Stelter criticized Fox News on Sunday for covering the case of an alleged rape in Rockville, MD committed by two illegal aliens, while ignoring another crime with Maryland ties.

The other crime centered around an alleged white supremacist who drove to New York and attacked and killed a 66-year-old black man from Maryland, according to Stelter.

Stelter said that the New York crime received almost no coverage on Fox, CNN or anywhere else, because for Fox the crime didn’t “fit the political agenda of those pro-Trump hosts on Fox.”

Fox only got interested in the rape story after The Washington Post reported on it, plus┬áthe fact that at least one of the attackers had a pending “alien removal” case against him. Also, both of the alleged attackers were high school freshmen despite being 17 and 18-years old respectively. This crime occurred less than a week after the city of Rockville held a hearing on a proposed sanctuary city ordinance, and just before the Democratically-controlled House of Delegates voted, in essence, to make Maryland a sanctuary state.

Without this confluence of events, the Rockville rape story would have remained a local story despite Trump being President.

Stelter also failed to make the case that Fox ignored the NYC murder case because of its pro-Trump bias when he singled out his own employer for also failing to cover it.

If Fox is guilty of having a pro-Trump bias for covering the Rockville story, then the opposite must be true for the networks that failed to report on the case, which is not what Stelter wants viewers to figure out.
