While CNN’s John Berman and Will Cain were discussing the Values Voter Summit, which began today in Washington, D.C., the network ran a description on the screen calling the summit’s host, the Family Research Council, “anti-gay and anti-abortion.”
That caught the eye of CNN Crossfire host S.E. Cupp, who took the network to task on Twitter.
Cupp is right. Rather than the words “anti-gay and anti-abortion” to describe the Family Research Council, they could just as easily have called them a conservative organization, which they are, and left it at that rather than try to purposely paint them in a negative light.
The Values Voter Summit will continue through Sunday, so we’ll have to see if CNN chooses to take any more shots at the group.
