CBS News deleted a tweet one day after receiving heavy criticism for pushing readers to fight the new Georgia voting law.

The original headline on the tweet read, “3 ways companies can help fight Georgia’s restrictive new voting law” and linked to an article written by CBS MoneyWatch reporter Khristopher Brooks which detailed actions companies can take to fight the new law.

One is to stop making donations to Barry Fleming and Michael Dugan, the Georgia Republicans who co-sponsored the voting changes.  Another is to spread awareness by running television and social media ads that oppose efforts in Georgia, Arizona, Texas, and other states considering voter restrictions. And finally, companies should fully support House Speaker Nancy Pelosi’s (D-CA) “For the People Act,” which would federalize absentee ballot requirements, same-day and online voter registration making it easier for people to vote at the expense of election security while giving the Democrats an additional boost at the polls.

Despite deleting the tweet, CBS didn’t place an “opinion” label on the article.
