Liberal talk radio host Al Franken has agreed to forego his salary in an attempt to keep the failing Air America radio network afloat. Franken was quoted in Saturday’s New York Times as saying “We had some bad management,” “Then we got some good management.” “It’s a little fuzzy to me exactly who’s in charge.”
That’s an understatement. The network is carried on about 13 stations and initially reported that it had funding of 20 million dollars. That number has now been proven as false as the network has been pulled from stations in Chicago and Los Angeles and laid off over 100 employees to boot.
No word yet on whether other hosts such as liberal comedianne Janeane Garofalo will follow Franken’s lead.
