Accuracy in Media

Accuracy In Media teamed up with Free Republic for a lively, but peaceful demonstration outside the CBS Washington DC Bureau Tuesday, September 20.

The demonstration drew much attention; some protestors showed up wearing “CBS – Rather Biased” T-shirts, and others wearing “blogger” costumes (men in pajamas); protestors were about 25 in number.  The costumes were a reaction to Jonathan Klein, a former executive vice president of CBS News who oversaw 60 Minutes, when he said, “You couldn’t have a starker contrast between the multiple layers of check and balances [at ‘60 Minutes’] and a guy sitting in his living room in his pajamas writing.”

The protest also drew the media’s attention.  CBS National Radio and many local TV networks interviewed some of the protestors.  Many passers by also joined in the protest as they passed under chants of “give ‘em hell!”
Negative comments were few and far between and consisted only of attacks on the President.
