On Thursday, Rep. Ilhan Omar (D-Minn.) tweeted that President Donald Trump is “deranged, bizarre, incoherent, and sad.” Omar said this after Trump referred to himself as a “stable genius.”
There is nothing “stable” or “genius” about these public rants from a president.
Deranged, bizarre, incoherent, sad … come to mind. https://t.co/lIvBisqGvQ

Omar’s remarks are in response to Trump’s press conference regarding a $16 billion aid package for farmers. During the press conference, Trump slammed Speaker Nancy Pelosi (D-Calif.) and Senate Minority Leader Chuck Schumer (D-N.Y.) for claiming he was not serious about bipartisan support for infrastructure, and that he had a “temper tantrum.”
Trump maintains that he was calm during the meeting with Schumer and Pelosi.
This is not the first time the freshman member has made remarks about Trump. In March she suggested that he is “sub-human” in comparison to former President Barack Obama. Even after the Mueller report found no collusion or obstruction, Omar is calling for impeachment proceedings to begin.
Impeachment is about upholding the rule of law and protecting our democracy. It’s time Democrats open an impeachment inquiry against the current occupant of the White House.

Omar has not even been in office a year and has already had to walk back and/or apologize for her remarks. Most notably, she had to apologize multiple times for making anti-semitic remarks, and pushing anti-Jewish tropes. Omar even went so far as to claim that GOP members are “bribed into supporting Israel.”
