In an Instagram “comic ”, Vox claims the success of some Asian Americans contributes to a racial divide that “threatens our solidarity”.
This comes after Accuracy in Media reported on an NPR intern who published an article explaining how “model immigrant” Asian Americans were a myth, trying desperately to diminish the group’s success.
Vox’s data inexplicably excludes Chinese and Korean Americans, which make up a combined 31% of the Asian population in the United States.
At the same time, Vox generalizes Asian Americans, despite the fact they can hail from 48 countries with different cultures.
Rather than acknowledge that not everyone will be a top income earner, Vox self-owns with a graphic that is likely racist.
