The Guardian dubs Anthony Fauci ‘Sexiest Man Alive’

The U.K.’s Guardian has dubbed Dr. Anthony Fauci this year’s  Sexiest Man Alive, proving that, whatever else it killed, the Delta variant has not killed the Fauci cult.

Worse yet, the Guardian is lauding Fauci for his truthfulness.

“At the core of Tony’s popularity is that people intuit that this is a man who is speaking the truth and will not let anything stand in the way,” says John Hoffman, the co-director of a new documentary, according to the Guardian.

That’s an estimate that many people would take strong exception to, including another medical professional, Sen. Rand Paul (R-Ky.), who has criticized Fauci for lying to Congress about the CDC’s role in funding the research at the Chinese bioweapons lab in Wuhan, which many suspect is ground zero in the pandemic.

But it’s not just Paul who shared that judgment.

Rutgers University chemical biology professor Richard Ebright, who won awards for his on DNA, also has said that Fauci lied about the money he helped funnel to Chinese virus research.

“The documents make it clear that assertions by the NIH director, Francis Collins, and the NIAID director, Anthony Fauci, that the NIH did not support gain-of-function research or potential pandemic pathogen enhancement at WIV are untruthful,” Ebright wrote. His comments were made after The Intercept published documents from a Freedom of Information Act request that showed that the money was used to study viruses that were altered to infect humanized mice.

This wasn’t his first lie.

Fauci has lied to America – repeatedly – and has failed us.  He told us masks didn’t work, then admitted this was a lie told for our own good.

Now, he suggests that natural immunity is weaker than vaccinated immunity, even though the data shows the opposite to likely be true.  He refused to speak out against lockdowns, even though the data showed them did nothing to keep us safe.

The media have already shown us the dangers of creating a cult of personality around politicians. It leads to Andrew Cuomo situations, in which ethics and morality go out the window in a quest for power.

Politicians do however come up for reelection and have checks on their power.  Creating a cult of personality around an unelected, unaccountable, overpaid bureaucrat is even more dangerous.

Fauci is the highest-paid employee at the federal government, as the foremost expert on pandemics.

What we’ve learned from the pandemic is that the government is just as horrible at handling infectious diseases as it is at delivering the mail on time, and that’s on Fauci, who seems to have time for every interview mocking Republicans, but no time for basic science.

Countries like the U.K. reviewed vaccine data throughout the clinical trials so that they were in a position to approve the vaccines as soon as possible.  Fauci and the federal government did not.

Other countries focused on sending out high-quality face masks to citizens to stop the spread. Fauci and the federal government did not.

And the mistakes haven’t ended.  As it stands, Pfizer and Moderna have created updated vaccines that cover the new variants… but it’s abundantly clear that they won’t be approved until long after those variants are gone.

The federal government failed us, and that failure was 100% on Fauci.  Hundreds of thousands have died as a result.

That’s not sexy.
