National Education Association to collect research on those who oppose Critical Race Theory

The National Education Association (NEA) this week approved a proposal that would gather political and personal information on those who oppose the teaching of Critical Race Theory (CRT) in schools across the nation.
“NEA will research the organizations attacking educators doing anti-racist work and/or use the research already done and put together a list of resources and recommendations for state affiliates, locals, and individual educators to utilize when they are attacked,” the newly adopted business item reads according to the National Review.

It is not surprising that the NEA has joined the crusade.
This was the organization that once proudly proclaimed that it wasn’t about education, or children or teachers. But rather, its sole object was political power.
“It is not because we care about children, and it is not because we have a vision of a great public school for every child,” NEA General Counsel Bob Chanin’s once said “The NEA and its affiliates are effective advocates because we have power.”
And once again they are determined to flex that power. And not for the kids, or education, but for power, pure power.
At issue for the NEA is standing up for its socialist allies who are pushing Critical Race Theory into American classrooms as a way to help fundamentally transform America into a country that must always apologize for everything, especially its history.
Progressives have already been tagged for spying on their neighbors who oppose CRT as a radical, Marxist doctrine.
In March of this year, police investigated a group of teachers and school board members for collecting information about parents who opposed the teaching of CRT in one Loudon County, Virginia school district.
While no charges were filed, the goal of silencing the CRT critics by attacking them with personal information was widely derided.
“I was personally attacked. My name, my first name, my last name, where my son goes to school, who my husband is, where I live and three pictures of me were all on that Facebook page,” said one Loudon County parent who opposes CRT.
‘They wanted to send postcards to our neighbors calling us racist and come to our home with a megaphone and call us racists,” she added.
Now the NEA has said that they will wade into this moral mess with the political acumen and experience to make it really hurt for parents and students who get in their way. And they have friends, as we have reported.

Does a controversial theory like CRT that bears such poisonous fruit belong in our neighborhood schools?
Is this what public education for all looks like in America?
I hope not, because the rest of us, unlike the NEA, must live every day with the parents and students and teachers that reside in our neighborhoods.
Maybe that’s why that NEA has taken steps to cover up its support for CRT by deleting that information over the last 24 hours from its website.
But don’t be fooled. For the NEA it’s about power not about their website.
