MSNBC’s Morning Joe panelists showed clear bias against the Trump family in a conversation Tuesday morning with Vicky Ward, the author of “Kushner, Inc.: Greed. Ambition. Corruption. The Extraordinary Story of Jared Kushner and Ivanka Trump.”
After being introduced by Morning Joe host Mika Brzezinski, Ward was asked a series of questions that gave her unchallenged room to make claims against the first family. While the panel did ask about why she heavily relied on anonymous sourcing, no member of the MSNBC panel pushed back on Ward’s claims attacking the character of Kushner and Trump.
“Let me ask you this question,” said MSNBC panelist Eddie Glaude as the segment wrapped up. “Usually these sorts of books are often kind of thought of as a gossipy book.”
“Yes, I get that,” Ward said.
“But you seem to have a bigger purpose here,” Glaude said.
“I do,” Ward said.
“Why did you write this? What necessitates us knowing this about this couple now?”
“You know, thank you for asking me that question,” Ward said.
“I think these two people are particularly dangerous, perhaps more dangerous than the president. because the president is, for all his peccadilloes, in plain sight other than, obviously his tax returns and maybe a few other things. Jared and Ivanka are kind of in disguise, as we’ve talked about, and the damage, the danger and havoc they’ve played with the protocols that have been put in place in this government, in our government, for decades to keep us safe have now been undone thanks to — particularly to Jared’s — really dangerous freelancing. And it’s going take years to fix it.”
