Earlier this week, Lindsey Boylan, a former aide for New York Gov. Andrew Cuomo, accused him of multiple counts of sexual harassment during her tenure.
In a series of tweets, Boylan claimed that “Yes, @NYGovCuomo sexually harassed me for years. Many saw it, and watched. I could never anticipate what to expect: would I be grilled on my work (which was very good) or be harassed about my looks. Or would it be both in the same conversation? This was the way for years.”

Many mainstream media outlets responded by either dismissing Boylan’s claims or refusing to cover them altogether.
A tweet from USA Today Politics said that Boylan had no “validating evidence” to back up her allegations.
The aide has not yet provided any validating evidence for the allegations or specified details on the harassment. Cuomo's office has denied the claim. https://t.co/6jpf6nSDT4

This is especially egregious considering the fact that Brett Kavanaugh’s accuser, Christine Blasey Ford, could not prove she actually knew Brett Kavanaugh, nor was she able to provide any corroborative evidence that he sexually assaulted her. That didn’t stop the mainstream media from smearing Kavanaugh as a rapist and cheering Democrats’ attempts to block his Supreme Court nomination in 2018.
During Kavanaugh’s Supreme Court nomination hearings, then-Sen. Kamala Harris (D.-Calif.) told Blasey Ford, “I want to thank you for your courage and I want to tell you I believe you.”
Harris has been completely silent on Boylan’s allegations against Cuomo, despite the fact that Cuomo is rumored to be in the running for Joe Biden’s Attorney General.
Biden himself has also not addressed the topic, nor has anyone in the mainstream media pressed him on the issue.
Earlier this year, Tara Reade accused Biden of sexual assault when she worked for him as a senatorial aide in 1993, claiming that he pinned her against a wall and assaulted her. Biden was quick to deny Reade’s allegations, and the mainstream media followed his lead by brushing Reade off entirely.
Cuomo responded to Boylan’s allegations, saying, “I fought for and believe a woman has the right to come forward and express her opinion, and express issues and concerns that she has, but it’s just not true.”
Neither CNN nor MSNBC has reported Boylan’s allegations against Andrew Cuomo.
It would appear that Democrats and their allies in the media are following the same playbook with Lindsey Boylan that they used against Tara Reade.
