Disney has yet to hold its film producer Jack Morrissey accountable for a tweet that called for violence against the Covington Catholic high school students videotaped in Washington, D.C.
Itay Hod and Jon Levine from The Wrap reported that “Morrissey apologized Monday for joking about ‘MAGA kids’ going ‘screaming, hats first into the woodchipper.’ The tweet was accompanied by an iconic image from ‘Fargo’ in which a dead person’s blood flies from a woodchipper.
‘It was something that I did not give any thought to,’ Morrissey told The Wrap. ‘It was just a fast, profoundly stupid tweet. … I would throw my phone into the ocean before doing that again.’”
Former Republican vice presidential nominee Sarah Palin highlighted the problem in Morrissey’s tweet.
“Don’t tell me this is THEE Jack Morrissey. “Famed” Disney producer Morrissey? Dear Lord…”
Melody Scott called out the double standard on Twitter, she tweeted: “Will #JackMorrissey be ruined like Roseanne over suggesting murder of a Catholic teenager? Will Hollywood hold him accountable? STOP the double standards!”
ABC immediately canceled “Roseanne” hours after Roseanne Barr penned an offensive tweet about Valerie Jarrett, a former adviser to President Obama.
Yet nobody associated with TBS’s “Full Frontal with Samantha Bee” show was fired after Bee called Trump’s daughter Ivanka a “feckless cunt” during the show.
Even has Twitter has taken action against some outspoken and controversial conservatives by banning them, Morrissey’s profile remains on the site, including with a blue checkmark signifying that the account has been verified.
Members of the mainstream media continue to condemn the boys from Covington Catholic High School in Kentucky for their actions after the March for Life in Washington on Friday–despite full evidence showing disputing the narrative that the boys were harassing Native American protesters.
