ACCURACY IN MEDIA
Cordially invites you to attend the
AIM/McDowell Luncheon

INTELLECTUAL MORONS:
HOW IDEOLOGY MAKES SMART PEOPLE FALL FOR STUPID IDEAS

presented by:
Daniel J. Flynn

Dan Flynn is best known to Accuracy in Media members as the former Executive Director of Accuracy in Academia, and as the author of Why the Left Hates America. A frequent campus speaker, he has faced off with book burners, mobs shouting down his talks, and officials banning his lectures. His articles have appeared in such publications as the Boston Globe, the American Enterprise, the Washington Times, Human Events and National Review Online. He has been interviewed on the major cable news networks and on several hundred radio talk shows.

In his new book, Intellectual Morons: How Ideology Makes Smart People Fall for Stupid Ideas, Flynn shows how people can be so blinded to reality by the causes they serve that they espouse bizarre, sometimes ridiculous, and often dangerous positions. The most influential social movements have spawned ideologues who don't even care whether an idea is true or false, as long as it can serve their cause. The book will be available for purchase at the luncheon.

Earlier, Flynn served as a program officer for Young America's Foundation. Since leaving Accuracy in Academia he has joined the Leadership Institute, a nonprofit foundation dedicated to training future conservative leaders, where he is the Director, Campus Leadership Programs. His website can be found at www.flynnfiles.com. Dan and his wife live in Washington, D.C.
