Pub. Date 2000 by Peggy Noonan
As the long, scandal-ridden trial of the Clinton years comes to an end-and
as the first lady mounts her own campaign for independent political office-it is time for a summation. What is
the legacy of Clintonism? What is there in Hillary Clinton's background, talents, or record of
achievement that qualifies her to represent New York in the U.S. Senate? And, most
important, what will happen if Hillary should win this fall? Where will her ambition lead her
next?
Peggy Noonan, one of our most astute political observers and a
speechwriter for the Reagan White House, argues in this passionate and compelling book that everyone in the United
States-not just New Yorkers-must look closely at Hillary and the implications of her Senate
bid. The Case Against Hillary Clinton offers and eye-opening assessment of the
scandals and failures of the Clinton years, from Whitewater to health care to the Filegate and
Travelgate affairs-casting a revealing light on the first lady's motives and behavior. It poses
searching questions about the difference between the citizens of New York and the Clintons
of Arkansas; between public service and lip service; between the whole truth and the
shameless parade of evasion and spin the first couple has marshaled throughout their White
House years. And finally, in these pages Noonan calls on us to consider the climate of
deception and disgrace the Clintons have left in their wake-weakening our nation's moral
standing and damaging our political process in ways that will take years to heal.

Unlimited Access - An FBI Agent Inside the Clinton White House (hardcover):
$5.95
(list price: $24.95)
Paperback Pub. Date 1998 by Gary Aldrich
This
is the blockbuster book by a former FBI agent that contains material
so devastating about the Clintons that White House fixer George
Stephanopoulos trotted over to ABC News' Washington bureau in an
attempt to keep the author off the Sunday Talk Show "This Week
With David Brinkley." After
news of the attempted censorship got into the press, ABC huffily
showed its "independence" by putting Aldrich on the air, then
had the three hosts savage him, and brought in Young George to
provide a further rebuttal. Gary
Aldrich laughed all the way to the top of best-seller lists, and
then to the bank. Young
George, meanwhile, has left the White House for a new career that
includes employment at ABC News.
So
how did the FBI's Aldrich so upset the Clintons? He tells what he saw from the inside of the White House:
flagrant violations of security regulations and clearance
procedures, including the very high-ranking Clinton aide who
continued snorting after Inaugural Day.
Homosexual dalliances in the White House showers and on
desk-tops. Porn
ornaments on the White House Christmas tree.
Staffers so corrupt that they even cheated the blind
attendant of a White House vending kiosk.
So,
given Clinton's reelection why is Unlimited Access worth investing
three or so hours of your reading time?
Quite simply, because this book permits you to run your own
credibility check on the Clintons and their staff during the net
months. An important read.

High Crimes and Misdemeanors - The Case Against Bill Clinton (hardcover):
$9.95
(list price: $24.95)
Pub. Date 1998 by Ann Coulter
Bill Clinton pledged to run "the most ethical
administration in the history of the republic."Conservative pundit
Ann Coulter finds this promise laughably off the mark.
Although she devotes a fair amount of space to the Monica
Lewinsky scandal, Coulter covers the gamut of Clinton controversies
from Whitewater to Filegate. The
book also focuses on the impeachment process, how the founding
fathers envisioned it, and why it should be invoked against Bill
Clinton.

$7.95
(list price: $20.00)
Pub. Date 1998 by William J. Bennett
Former
Cabinet secretary and best selling author William J. Bennett
dismantles the President's defenses, brick by evasive brick, and

A must read for anyone who believes that we should judge a
president on more than the state of the economy.
