Shut Up Already!
By Geoff Metcalf

- Kennedy didn’t bad rap Eisenhower
- Johnson didn’t bad rap Kennedy (in public)
- Nixon didn’t bad rap Johnson (in public)
- Ford didn’t bad rap Nixon (although there was cause)
- Carter didn’t bad rap Ford
- Reagan didn’t bad rap Carter (although he could have)
- Bush didn’t bad rap the Gipper
- Clinton has broken protocol, courtesy, national security, and common sense by bad rapping BOTH Bush presidents, his predecessor AND his successor.

Bill Clinton, the impeached, unindicted perjurer, lothario, who routinely provided aid and comfort to enemies and sullied the office of the presidency, now adds to his multiples sins criticism of his successor president of the United States. His conduct in Britain is reprehensible, contemptible, unconscionable, and beyond sleazy (even by the heightened standards he established).

In November of 2001 I wrote, “Bill Clinton is a small dollop of pond scum masquerading as a man.” Rather than attempting to mitigate and or manufacture some new revisionist history of his performance, Clinton continues to exacerbate his malignant legacy.

The former philanderer-in-chief, apparently not content with the cumulative scar tissue he inflicted on the country, the republic and the office of the presidency, seems to suffer a pathology that insists on trashing any remnant of dignity by his routine, chronic conduct sufficient to gag maggots …and even sycophant Democrats.

Excuse me all to hell and back, but what did this showboating, pretentious huckster do when he wasn't using White House interns as a receptacle for his lust to correct our alleged historic shortcomings?

There are consequences to what we do and don't do in life. This axiom is inevitable. Unfortunately, in the case of Bill Clinton the consequences of his action and inaction are borne by others while he luxuriates in a state of narcissistic denial.

· In 1993, after the first World Trade Center bombing, which killed six and injured 1,000, Clinton promised that those responsible would be hunted down and punished.
· In 1995, after the bombing in Saudi Arabia, which killed five U.S. military personnel, Clinton promised that those responsible would be hunted down and punished.
· A year later, the Khobar Towers bombing in Saudi Arabia killed 19 and injured 200 U.S. military personnel. Clinton promised that those responsible would be hunted down and punished.
· In 1998, U.S. embassies in Africa were bombed – 224 killed and 5,000 injured. Clinton promised that those responsible would be hunted down and punished.
· In the last year of the reign of the Dark Prince, terrorists in Yemen hit the USS Cole. Seventeen servicemen were killed and 39 injured. Clinton promised that those responsible would be hunted down and punished.

Traditionally former presidents eschew commenting – and most certainly criticizing – their successors. It is tradition. It is an expected courtesy. It is classy…which by definition must make it impossible for Clinton.

"Billy-The-Rules-Traditions-And-Courtesies-Don't-Apply-To-ME" cannot seem to avoid any and all opportunities to seek out a microphone, camera or opportunity to Monday-morning quarterback and whine.

In the wake of an eight-year tenure, the former tragedy of errors has said the federal government is "woefully" lacking on several key terrorism-prevention areas. Yeah, thanks largely to his policies.

In addition to revisionist history, Clinton continues to pour gasoline on a smoldering fire.

It is fascinatingly presumptuous that Clinton has the stones to actually say what he does in front of God and everyone else: "If you live in a country where you're never required to take responsibility for yourself, where you never even have to ask whether there's something you should be doing to solve your own problems, then people are kept in kind of a permanent state of collective immaturity and it becomes quite easy for them to believe that someone else's success is the cause of their distress."

Gosh-oh-gee-golly! Clinton actually described his own presidency better than any of the legion of writers and critics. "Collective immaturity"? This guy synthesized it, personified it and will remain a poster boy for "collective immaturity."

British newspapers described Clinton’s Speech to Britain's annual Labour Party conference in Blackpool, England, as "a devastating attack" on President Bush. Not a first.

Last year Clinton said, "And one area where we are woefully lacking is the simple use of modern computer tech to track people that come into this country." Hey, you had eight years – what did you do?

The same guy who was impeached for lying under oath about a sexual relationship with an intern had the temerity to say the entire issue revolves around "the nature of truth."

Bill Clinton wouldn't know "the nature of truth" if it handed him a Chicom check.

Mr. President, PLEASE……SHUT UP!
