Dear Ms. Fischer:
It is not surprising that Senator Joseph Biden, a presidential candidate and chairman of the Foreign Relations Committee, would appear regularly on “Meet the Press” and other shows. But we do find it odd that host Tim Russert, who is always quick to remind his guests of their previous positions and statements, did not confront Biden about his well-documented history of plagiarism on a recent show. Plagiarism is a serious problem in journalism and academia. It is equally serious when politicians engage in it. Please make sure Russert asks Biden about it when he is again on your show.
