Senator Norm Coleman
320 Hart Senate Office Building
Washington, DC 20510

Dear Senator Coleman:

We hope your decision to skip both Senate Foreign Relations Committee hearings on the U.N.’s Law of the Sea Treaty was not an indication that you will vote for this controversial pact. You need to educate yourself—and quickly—about how this treaty will subvert U.S. sovereignty and put natural resources into the hands of the U.N. As someone who conducted hearings into the U.N.’s oil-for-food scandal, we hope you don’t think the world body can be trusted with access to even more money. The U.N.’s Law of the Sea Treaty will empower the U.N. and make the oil-for-food scandal look like peanuts.
