Representative Duncan Hunter
2265 Rayburn House Office Building
Washington, DC 20515
Dear Rep. Hunter:
Thank you for leading the Congressional effort to subject the Security and Prosperity Partnership to scrutiny.
It was heartening to see that your amendment to H.R. 3074, the fiscal year 2008 Transportation Appropriations Act, prohibiting the use of federal funds for participation in working groups under the SPP, passed by a vote of 362 – 63. This demonstrates that members of the House from both parties want to exercise long-overdue oversight into the controversial process of bringing the three countries together economically and in other areas. Keep up the good work.
