Thank you for your leadership efforts in the field of international broadcasting. Unfortunately, your efforts are being threatened by the expanding reach of Al-Jazeera, the terrorist channel that is planning to launch an English-language version early next year. Your recent annual report talks about fighting terror with truth. It’s now time to fight terror by keeping terrorist propaganda out of the United States. Al-Jazeera says it is now negotiating for airtime on U.S. cable and satellite systems. We ask that you use all of your clout and influence to keep Al-Jazeera from getting access to the U.S. media market.
