Dear Senator Frist:
Almost 100 anti-Bush protesters were arrested for disrupting Inaugural-related activities. Some committed property damage, while others tried to rush the presidential motorcade. Yet local and federal law enforcement authorities did not seem to know that the instigators included communists with connections to terrorist groups and hostile regimes. And it turns out that attorneys for the protesters got access to security details about inaugural activities because of the rulings of a federal judge, Gladys Kessler. It’s time for Congress to create a committee to investigate groups that threaten the public safety and our nation’s internal security. Can you take this necessary step to bring such a committee into being?
