Dear Mr. Westin,
You have perhaps noticed that most stock brokers are reluctant to advise their customers to sell, especially when stock prices are falling, even though they know that selling may be in the best interests of their clients. I am surprised that ABC News would have a manager of mutual funds giving investment advice to its viewers when the markets are in a severe bearish phase. It is obvious that those who switched from stocks to bonds six months ago have fared a lot better than those who rode the market down. Advice to keep on riding it down should at least be balanced by others who will give your viewers advice based on long experience and sound principles, not on their personal interests.
