Dear Mr. Stephanopoulos,

Congratulations on your rapid rise in the world of journalism. I wish you success in overcoming your partisan past and demonstrating as the host of "This Week" that you have the character and ability to provide news that is truthful and fair. I have two suggestions that will test you.

On 9/11, you told Peter Jennings and ABC's viewers that you had attended a meeting in the secret situation room in the White House after "the bombing" of TWA Flight 800. You have never explained why you called it a bombing and why there was a secret White House meeting to deal with it.

This suggests that you know that the cause of the crash was covered up. As a journalist, do you recognize that you have a duty to expose it? Will you?

In 1996, you did your best to discredit Gary Aldrich and his book and keep him off TV. Will you invite him to be on your show and apologize?
