Dear Mr. Raines:

The Times devotes space every day to correcting trivial errors but you are not as meticulous about correcting errors of profound significance. As the 6th anniversary of the crash of TWA Flight 800 approaches, you have not told your readers of the lies fabricated by the FBI, CIA and NTSB to discredit eyewitnesses who said they saw a missile intersect with the plane. On June 14, you ran a story saying no warning of an explosion was picked up by the cockpit recorder, but a 1996 Times story said the recorder picked up a sound consistent with a bomb. The tape was sent to England for analysis and the NTSB has kept the results secret along with its destruction of evidence.

Roger Aronoff, producer of an award-winning investigative documentary about the TWA 800 crash, sent a 150-word letter to the editor about this which has not been published. I would like to know why.
