To Chief Taylor:
I regret to learn that your final report on the death of Cliff Baxter claims that there is no evidence pointing to any other cause of death but suicide. If that is so, why haven't you demanded that the Harris County medical examiner release a toxicology report that tells how much Ambien was found in Baxter's blood and what effect that amount would have had on his ability to wake up in the middle of the night, take his revolver loaded with ammo different from the Winchester cartridges he kept in his house, slip out of his house and drive his car a few blocks and shoot himself. The DPS refused to say that he wrote the suicide note, and having seen Accuracy in Media's comparison of certain letters found in the note and in the exemplar submitted to DPS, I can see why. Apparently you didn't find his prints on the note or the envelope. Doesn't that make it suspect even in your eyes?
